ARIYIKE WEEKLY: BLAST FROM THE PAST WITH TOKE MAKINWA

This exclusive interview was recorded in 2010 and edited in 2013 but it was never aired. Back then, I was working as a Lawyer and I was trying to produce my own TV show but I had no knowledge about Production (hence the bad audio) so I decided to hire a camera crew and interview a few People to see what it felt like to be in front of the Cameras. Toke Makinwa was already working on radio so she was one the friends that came to support me. This happened about 5 years ago (Shortly after I gave birth to my 2nd Child) before we both got our TV gigs. While Toke and I were trying to get on TV in Nigeria, we went for several auditions together, we got many NOs, we were picked for some shows that never kicked off and we were meant to host/produce a show together with two other Ladies but the show never kicked off but we never gave up. Infact, after every audition, we would always say 'THIS HUSTLE', That was our slogan. Guys, nothing comes easy. Life is filled with ups and downs, you have to learn to remain Positive in all that you do. If you have a dream, NEVER GIVE UP. Today, I'm dedicating my vlog day to the amazing Toke Makinwa. This hardworking babe is so full of life, there's never a dull moment whenever Toke is around. When you meet her, you will love her. Did I tell you we attended the same Primary school? Federal Home Science Association Primary School, Ikoyi and we both graduated from the University of Lagos. Well, now you know. Thank you Toke for constantly supporting all that I do, you are a star, keep shinning, Love you loads. In this interview, Toke talks about how she deals with negative radio callers and the first thing she does before she goes on air. Enjoy!
